A weather widget showed up on the Windows 11 lock screen after being tested in the Windows 11 Dev channel and is now accessible to all Windows 11 users.
A new Climate Widget for the lock screen is now available to all users.

The January update (KB5034123) for Windows 11 introduces a revamped lock screen, featuring a new weather widget, as reported by Taras Buria from NeoWin.

The feature showing weather information on the Windows lock screen was introduced around 12 years ago when Windows 8 was launched. The updated version now offers improved functionality with more detailed information and enhanced visual aspects. Clicking on the card will redirect the user to a page in Microsoft Edge containing additional weather data.
Introduction and release dates
The new Windows 11 lock screen weather widget will soon be available to all users, with a rollout expected in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, Windows 10 is also set to receive this feature in the near future.
