Samsung is set to release the 3rd generation of its smartband, the Galaxy Fit. Let’s explore its features and decide if it’s worth upgrading from the Galaxy Fit 2 or sticking with the current model.
Galaxy Fit 3 features a fresh appearance with a contemporary design.

The upcoming Samsung band will feature a unique design with a 1.6″ AMOLED screen that resembles the Apple Watch more than the Galaxy Fit 2.
The change is well-received despite not significantly impacting battery life. The Galaxy Fit 3, with its larger screen and format, is expected to have a battery life that is just 2 days less than its predecessor, offering 13 days compared to the Galaxy Fit 2’s 15 days as per the brand’s promise.

The watch will be safeguarded against water and dust with IP68 certification, similar to smartphones, guaranteeing protection in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Additionally, the new model includes a feature for detecting falls, allowing users to alert emergency contacts by pressing the side button five times.
The Galaxy Fit 3 offers a wide variety of sports modes, including running, workout, and swimming modes, totaling over 100 options. While this feature is common in other modern smartbands like the Mi Band 7 and Huawei Band 8, Samsung’s delayed release of new Galaxy Fit generations has made this upgrade somewhat belated.
