YouTube has revealed a new strategy to enhance the viewing experience on TV by reducing the frequency of ad breaks while making them longer.
The choice to skip ads on YouTube may now take longer to appear, up to a minute after the ad begins, according to Google. If users watch a longer ad, there will be fewer ad breaks during the video, as indicated by the YouTube app.
Ads that are as long as 1 minute

Viewers in a YouTube survey indicated a preference for ads grouped together instead of being spread out during the video, leading to the platform testing this change starting in September.
YouTube Shorts on television will now show advertisements, like they have been doing on mobile and web platforms for about a year. Viewers can skip these ads using their remote control.
