Asus has introduced new video cards and motherboards that support a cable-free design for GPUs. This eliminates the need for traditional power cables with 16-pin 12VHPWR connectors. Taiwanese PC hardware manufacturer utilized PCIe 5.0 x16 slots to deliver up to 600 watts to the video card.
Asus develops technology that eliminates the need for power cords.

Asus states that the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 BTF video cards Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER BTF White Edition can utilize the PCIe connection to access the required power, a system resembling Asus’ current GPU server setup.
Asus has created Advanced BTF technology, which relies on a high-power PCIe connector for transmitting power. To utilize this technology, a compatible motherboard like TUF Gaming B760M-BTF WiFi D4, ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF, or TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi is required.

By using this motherboard and BTF video cards, the user will have extra space for other components. Moreover, Asus states that installing its graphics cards is simpler.
