Experts predict that this memory capacity will become the norm for devices running Windows 11, leading to the emergence of a new type of computers known as “IA PC.”

Microsoft has a significant impact on hardware, and TrendForce predicts that Copilot will lead to widespread use of 16 GB RAM.

Laptop makers are expected to introduce devices featuring this technology, which will speed up the availability of AI-equipped PCs in the market by 2024. However, widespread adoption may take place starting in 2025. Asus and other companies are also investing in the growth of AI-enabled PCs, with plans to release high-end devices in 2024.

Microsoft intends to incorporate Copilot into upcoming devices and introduce Copilot Pro, an AI assistant included in the 365 package, to enhance the AI aspect of user experience.
